5 Reasons to Drink Less Coffee

We’ve all heard of the positives but coffee is a powerful stimulant that changes biochemistry and effects the way our body functions day to day. If you find yourself gradually having more coffee consider if any of the below apply to you. 

1. ADDICTION

As with most stimulants caffeine has addictive properties. In the extremes this means requiring more and more to function normally or to just stay awake. Cut the caff and you may find yourself feeling better than you have done for a long time.

2. IMPROVE SLEEP

Coffee can impact your sleep quality and quantity. If you find yourself struggling to fall asleep or sleep through the night eliminating coffee should be the first step.

3. REDUCE ANXIOUSNESS

Caffeine has a powerful effect on adrenal glands and can increase anxiety in many. Reducing coffee can make you feel less anxious especially if you are more prone to it

4. HEALTHIER HEART

Some people experience cardiac arrhythmias when coffee intake reaches a certain limit. If you experience irregular heart beats swap your coffee for gentler beverages.

5. MAKE COFFEE WORK AGAIN

Being a powerful stimulant caffein causes our body to adapt and no longer respond to it in the same way. By reducing or eliminating coffee you can reset your caffeine tolerance, making it useful for those times when you really need it.
